The modern world of the United States Army includes the use of some of the most modern pieces of technology available. All of these pieces of technology need to be maintained and used by highly skilled professionals. It is the job of the Network Switching Operator-Maintainer to operate and maintain the switches and communication systems which are used on both ends.

Training for Your Career

In order to make sure that you know what you are doing, you will go through basic training along with all of the enlisted personnel. You will than go through a 17 week advanced training course through which you will learn the specialized skills for your position. You will learn how to operate and install communication equipment among other things.
