The United States Army has one of the leading infantries in the world. Part of what makes the infantry so effective is the use of highly skilled officers. The infantry officer is a highly skilled individual in their ability to lead troops as well as in their ability to assess situations and make snap decisions which will improve the outcome of the mission they are trying to accomplish.

Infantry Officer Training

Because you are an officer, you will not go through same basic training as the rest of the enlisted men. You will instead go through a Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC). From this point you can also choose to volunteer for Ranger or Airborne school to take your career to the next level. With the training you will receive, you will go from being a member of the most powerful Army in the world to being a leader of the most powerful Army in the World.

Not everyone can become an officer in the US Army. This is especially true when it comes to the infantry. This is why you will need to have certain skills at your disposal like being able to remain calm and think straight even under stressful conditions.
