When you are a personnel member in the United States Army, you will face the ordeal of relocating several times throughout your career. This is true whether you are an enlisted member or you are operating as an officer. While there are some relocations which you will appreciate or even ask for, there are others which you will not look forward to. Here are some facts you should know about the relocation program.
Helping You Move
The United States Army recognizes that you have a lot to do in your responsibilities as an Army personnel member. This is why they offer you the assistance of being able to move freely and easily throughout the world. You will be given assistance in such areas as moving your belongings from one location to the next. You will also be given assistance in setting up services for your new home as well as getting help in finding your new home where you move.
Paying for Your Move
There are many times in which you will be moving to a new location and you will not have the option to stay on base. This is especially true for those who are moving with a family. You will be given the opportunity to stay in temporary housing at the Army’s expense until your news home is ready for you to move into. Other expenses are paid as well at the discretion of the Army.
