The United States Army uses helicopters to fly missions throughout the world on a daily basis. It is of the utmost importance that the missions used by the helicopter pilots be well thought out and organized in order to guarantee that the pilots and aircrew will know what they are doing as well as making sure that the missions will be successful. What You Will Do

You will be expected to use the various pieces of information available through the information and intelligence briefs in order to design the different missions which will be flown every day. You will be in charge of making sure that the right pilots and aircrew are given the right assignments in order to have the most effect. Your mission will be one which will either guarantee success or failure depending on your ability to create the best missions for the pilots and their crews.

Get the Training

In order to make sure that you know what you are doing, you will go through eight weeks of advanced training. As a specialist, you will go through constant training on the job as well. You will not be working towards rank advancements. Instead, you will be working towards getting even better at what you specialize in.
