Career Training

To make sure you will be able to fulfill your duties as a UH-60 helicopter repairer you will need to go through training. This will include basic training which all soldiers go through. After you are done with basic training you will go through advanced training which includes teaching you repair of all coverings, electrical systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, engine disassembly and repair. Your training will last 15 weeks.

In order to get started as a UH-60 helicopter repairer you should be interested in engine mechanics, working on aircraft, shop mechanics and mathematics. You should also retain the knowledge of how to use hand and poser tools. This will make sure you will be chosen to work in the field.
