It is necessary that the physicians charged with caring for the soldiers have all of the medical supplies they need to do their job. It is the job of the Medical Logistics Specialist to make sure all supplies are where they need to be at the right time.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Medical Logistics Specialist is in charge of tracking all of the medical supplies on hand and making sure there is nothing low or missing. They are in charge of making sure all resupplies are ordered in a timely manner. They are also in charge of making sure all orders come in correctly and are stored correctly.
Training for Your Career
After finishing basic training you will go through a six week advanced training course. Here you will learn the proper procedures for handling medical and food supplies. This includes all shipping, receiving and storing of stock. You will also be taught the proper method for issuing stock to different departments.
The training you receive in the Army will directly correlate to positions which are available in medical facilities throughout the world. This means the training you get for free in the Army will provide you with the training you need for a career which will last you the rest of your life.
